Harmonix developers are trying to invade new territories with their new achievement. The creators of popular games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band announced today a new exciting game: Chroma.

Different from the studio’s last games, this one is strictly directed to the PC (via Stream) and is free to play.

Unlike other Harmonix’s games, Chroma is experimental, mixing the shooting with pulsing electronix beats and flashy visuals. The musicians have worked with an outside team named Hidden Path Entertainment, the ones that created the musical background for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

If you are wondering what type of game Chroma will be, I will give you a starting point by revealing that you can choose to play one of five classes (standard FPS fare, from basic assault to heavy “tank”). You can also pick from a wide variety of guns and abilities varying based on the selected class.
